EMANUELE DELUCCHI (1987) studied with Canzio Bucciarelli (Genoa), Riccardo Risaliti (Imola), and Davide Cabassi (Bolzano), graduating with degrees in piano and composition. He gives solo recitals and performs with orchestras and chamber ensembles in Italy (MiTo Festival, GOG Season, Sagra Malatestiana, etc.) and abroad (including France, Germany, Mexico, England, and Greece). He composes, researches, and teaches music history. His artistic work has garnered him the attention of Italian critics (Chierici, Ciammarughi, Foletto, etc.) and international critics. He has released recordings on the Toccata label (Alkan/Vianna da Motta, with Vincenzo Maltempo), Piano Classics (Godowsky – 4 albums –, D’Albert, Czerny, Stravinsky, Delucchi), Dynamic (Beethoven/Drouet, with Fabio De Rosa), and DaVinci (Ljapunov, Medtner – 5-star album in “Musica,” October 2025). He is also responsible for one of the few complete recordings of Leopold Godowsky’s studies, which was enthusiastically received by critics (Album of the Month in ClassicVoice, Gramophone, Piano News, etc.). He is the first Italian to perform and record Charles Valentin Alkan’s Concerto for Solo Piano (Lecce, 2009), and he gave the first modern performance of Czerny’s Op. 856 (Milan, 2017). In 2018 (Milan) he publicly performed all 54 studies by Godowsky and in 2024/2025 (Cagliari, Genoa and Padua) he performed them again in a concert and presented them in a single day (after Francesco Libetta he is the only other pianist to have done this).
